Description

Jacoby 1
PK 085 + 52.1

This Planetary Nebula is in the Constellation Bootes and was discovered by George Jacoby in 1995. Little is known about this one so information is limited, but they do say that this is the faintest nebula discovered in the 20th century.

Acquisition Notes:

Are you looking for a challenging target? Here it is. I went with 10-minute subs on this one and it barely showed up in the stacked image. I used RGB for the stars and only O3 for the nebula. There is Hydrogen-Alpha in the central region, but it is extremely faint and you have to go super deep to get it.
This ended up being O-RGB.

Thanks, Eddie
